Energy company Alexela has installed a new charging point for electric vehicles at its modern plant in Nõjala in Tallinn. The official opening will take place this Saturday, when the former rubber plant center will host celebrations for the summer season and the opening of the Ankru 10 building. On the opening day, June 3, electric vehicles can be charged at the Nõhjala plant for 1 c/kWh.
The Alexela electric vehicle charging point is located in the factory parking lot in the middle of three parking spaces and allows three vehicles to be charged simultaneously. The charging station is equipped with CCS+CCS+Type 2 injectors and has a power of 180 kW+22 kW. The official launch of the Charger will take place as part of the Põhjala Factory Festival, which will be held on June 3 at noon on the main street of Põhjala between Marathi and Ankru streets.
“This charger is a real center of the action, with fun everywhere, and with the north also predicted to be a big event, we have left the option open to add more CCS attachments to the charger, increasing the power to 300 kilowatts,” said Alan Wacht. e-mobility manager Alexela. “We are very proud to be able to offer a convenient and fast charging option right here at the Nõhjala plant, which is already renowned for its versatility and creativity. All visitors can also get a very good price to experience our charging solution on opening day,” he added.
The opening of another Alexela electric vehicle charging point is part of the group's plan to expand renewable energy supplies and services in Estonia. Alexela continues to contribute to the local production of renewable energy and offers its customers cost-effective and environmentally friendly solutions.
EV owners can leave their busy factory in the car park to charge up and explore what the Scandinavian factory has to offer. “One dynamic electric charger is very important here because we support an environmentally friendly view of the world. Reducing CO2 emissions is important for us as a Nordic manufacturing community,” said plant owner Kaido Groos about the collaboration with Alexela.
There are currently 96 charging points on the Alexela public charging network, of which 43 are mainly ultra-fast charging points and 53 charging points are dedicated to multi-hour charging. This year the number of charging stations will be increased to 140.
