You have a Smart Meter installed. The Smart Meter records your consumption for each hour and the cost of electricity is calculated according to the exchange prices for that hour. By adjusting your consumption to times when the price is lower, you can reduce your electricity costs.

The weighted average price is calculated by equating the Customer's hourly consumption to the relevant hourly price on the stock exchange. The majority of Latvian households do not have meters of the automatic electricity accounting system, which would allow to see the actual consumption by hours, therefore, in order to calculate the hourly consumption in such a situation, Sadales Tīkls applies standard schedules. This means that until a "smart meter" is installed, the weighted average price per kilowatt hour will be the same for all customers, regardless of consumption.

BILLING IS BASED ON INVOICES issued based on actual consumption.
